The IXTAPA-ZIHUATANEJO Experience

A 3,000-year-old archaeological site, Xihuacan was once a ceremonial center used by pre-Columbian tribes including the Aztecs. This trail goes through a jungle where you can see crocodiles, Garza birds and iguanas. It has lots of trees on both sides so it’s shaded from the hot sun. Beautiful beginning at the marina, and ends up at Playa Linda where the waves are calm and it’s easy to swim.

Turtle Release
It is an incredible opportunity to witness this miraculous natural process. During the night, turtles come to the beach and lay eggs. To protect these eggs, a qualified team takes them and places them in a turtle sanctuary to protect them from predators. After a briefing you will be given a freshly hatched baby turtle that you will release on the beach. Cheer them all on as they run to sea!

Marina Ixtapa Golf Club
Marina Ixtapa Golf Club is a Robert Von Hagge designed links style track which opened in January, 1994. It is characterized by narrow fairways bordered by numerous dunes of grass, large traps guarding undulating greens and water on 14 of the 18 holes.The course is a challenging yet fair experience with 4 sets of tees to accommodate all ranges of experience and abilities. The staff is friendly, courteous and very knowledgeable.The Marina Ixtapa Golf Club is open from 7 am until dusk 365 days per year.
